My name is Rushuang and I am a professional piano teacher based in St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan. I offer bespoke, tailored piano tuition to a huge variety of students. Based in Cardiff since 2021 (and having studied here from 2017 - 2019), and based in the Vale of Glamorgan since 2023, I offer the highest quality piano tuition available.

I teach from my home studio, conveniently located near Barry, Llantwit Major, Cowbridge and Cardiff Airport, where I have a professional grade Yamaha U1 upright piano, a waiting area for parents as well as an iPad which I use to enhance lessons.

Beginner Students

Frequently asked questions.

What if I only have a keyboard and not a piano?

This isn't a problem. I'll be able to teach you to a certain level, but there will come a time where if you want to improve, you'll need to invest in a proper instrument. I can help you choose one.

What if I've never played the piano before?

I love teaching beginners! I can work with you or your children to help you embark on your musical journey - all you need is a piano and a smartphone!

I'm sceptical about online lessons. Is it as good as in-person?

My courses are rolling. We don't tie you into a long contract or subscription like some teachers do - all you need to do is give two weeks' notice. 

What if I don't have much time to practice?

I can work with you to develop a practice schedule so that you can practice when you have the time. However, if you can't invest enough time into the piano, you may not improve as fast as you want to.

Do you also teach advanced students?

I have a Master's degree in music. I also teach students who are preparing to go to university, those who are preparing for diploma exams or conservatory entrants. Contact me and I can help you.
